When my Paper Moon kit arrived in the mail, I knew that I was not used to scrapping with more "boy" themed papers. I wasn't sure what I was going to do but I thought about our trip to San Antonio and that my nephews will be with us so I decided to use the kit to make an album for them. I already had this 8x8 album that I did nothing with so I will be using it. I'll post the completed album when we return.
Finally did some studio calico work. For a while I thought that I just couldn't find my groove with the kits but I loved it this time. I think I scrap better when I don't think about trying to get the perfect color combo or the right order. With the SC kits I find myself wanting to be more artistic than clean.
I finally got a few projects done with the JBS April Kit and I still have May's Kit to do and several past kits and project kits waiting for my attention. I hope to get back to scrapping on a regular since my parents are moving to Illinois this week. Aniyah is in transition with them for some of the summer and I already miss her and it's only been a day. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I'm off to watch the first playoff game and finish baking my sweet potatoe pie.

Wow! Have I've been gone from blogging this long....????? I almost don't know where to begin but so much has truly been happening all over. We just experienced the massive tornados that took over our State on Wednesday, 27 April 2011. We finally got power back on Tuesday night but the devastation will forever be in the history of Alabama. My heart goes out to all those who lost lives, homes, family, friends and loved ones. Truly a sad day for Alabama but in the midst of it all, we were spared and so I'm thankful to be alive, to see another year and because I am living, blessed and the sun is shining, it is a fabulous day.
I can't even begin to figure out where or what has been going on but I've been traveling tremendoulsy the past few months and it will probably slow down a bit after my parents move next month. I finally got back into my scrap room last night and I truly miss it. I want to move it out of my study room but only b/c I would love to have more natural lighting but it works in terms of space. I was thinking about canceling my SC subscription temporarily until I can get caught up on everything but it's hard to miss out on the goodies. I guess I'm a scrap-a-holic when it comes to products.
I will definitely be back to my regular scrap.fashion.makeup.hair programming and Happy Birthday to Me! Oh, not to mention it's Cinco de Mayo! I need a margarita tonight! LOL!
