my halloween angel

We went to Boo at the Zoo this weekend and Aniyah had a blast......besides me being so cold! Brrr! The Scooby-Doo show was really good and so was the trick-or-treating. We got a chance to go see Puss in Boots Friday night and that was a good movie. Love having family time.

I like how Keisha Campbell separates her blog posts by dashes, equal signs, lines etc so it makes for better flow so this is definitely her idea.

I got to do a few projects with my JBS kit this month.  I've been so busy that I haven't had much time and I'm working on my Halloween album. Hope to have a few pics of it this week to share.

I love stamping on tags, and using tags on projects which is another love I got from Keisha Campbell.

Had to pick up the 2011 Halloween Vintage Craft kit today from Jenni's mid-month release. Not sure what I'm planning to do with it yet but it's a must have..................go grab one for yourself HERE!

I totally loved the kit this month....absolute love! I ran into a paperpack sale at Hobby Lobby that had all their paper pads 50% off so I grabbed the Fancy Pants "it's the little things" pack because I loved the papers in this kit.  I couldn't cut up the vintage receipt so I used it on top of one of my favorite papers...I love it in the background. August 8th was her first day of school.

I stamped the medallion in versa mark with amercian crafts gold glitter embossing powder.

New scrap space that I'm loving working in now. I had to take over the kitchnen nook but I'm loving having access to natural lighting and a connection to our family area.

san antonio album

When my Paper Moon kit arrived in the mail, I knew that I was not used to scrapping with more "boy" themed papers. I wasn't sure what I was going to do but I thought about our trip to San Antonio and that my nephews will be with us so I decided to use the kit to make an album for them. I already had this 8x8 album that I did nothing with so I will be using it. I'll post the completed album when we return.

some studio calico

Finally did some studio calico work. For a while I thought that I just couldn't find my groove with the kits but I loved it this time. I think I scrap better when I don't think about trying to get the perfect color combo or the right order.  With the SC kits I find myself wanting to be more artistic than clean.

jbs june projects & Happy Father's Day

I loved everything about this month's kit. The butterflies were perfect and the new line was fun to work with.

This layout is just a sneak. I snapped it quickly before the lighting went out but I'll post it updated later.

 

I used both the new ruler stamp and the torn paper stamp on this layout.

 







I couldn't resist the border Keisha created on one of her layouts. I just had to re-create it for this one.  Oh, and Keisha is such an enabler, I had to run to JoAnn's for the button sale as well

We had a quiet Father's Day. I cooked a big Sunday Dinner and just spent time around the house. I'm working on a few things using my June SC kit and hopefully I'll have a few pics to post this week/weekend. Have a great week.

 

aniyah's room

 

I normally always change Aniyah's room each summer that she's gone so I decided to post some before pictures and then I'll post the updates later. Her room changes will be simple but I keep adding/taking away and purging things. Ms. Princess the Frog has been around since last year for Aniyah's birthday. She had a Princess and the Frog party at the bowling ring.

Aniyah is so fascinated with alarm clocks. For some reason she feels its necessary to have one to wake up.

I love Aniyah's butterfly lamp.

Her shelves definitely won't stay the same.

JBS May Kit

I just loved May's kit this year. I really loved the colors in last month's kit and I can't wait to dive into this month's kits. I'm still so far behind with my Calico kits so I only have three layouts this time and a card but I'm hoping to back track and get those done along with some project kits I've neglected and several other things. I'm staying home this weekend so I'll be spending all weekend crafting and catching up on things that I need to be doing.

I love the new stamps that are out now so I used it and my martha stewart punch.

I love Talipia and we eat it all the time. One of my favorite meals with a squeeze of lemon juice on top.

JBS projects and photos

I finally got a few projects done with the JBS April Kit and I still have May's Kit to do and several past kits and project kits waiting for my attention.  I hope to get back to scrapping on a regular since my parents are moving to Illinois this week. Aniyah is in transition with them for some of the summer and I already miss her and it's only been a day.  I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I'm off to watch the first playoff game and finish baking my sweet potatoe pie.

This card needs a bit of journaling but I didn't have a card in mind for anyone so it is blank for now.

 

 

JBS Jan Kit and Making Memories Je t'adore and photos

I finally got some scrapping done! Yay! I'm so behind on a few kits from 2010 but I didn't want to make 2011 that way so I got caught up on my JBS Jan kit. I need to work on my SC Jan kit next so hopefully I can still get some scrapping done today. I love the black and cream in this kit. Jenni is always fab when it comes to the combination of colors in her kits. I can't wait to get my Feb kit, the colors in it are awesome!









I totally love MM Je t'adore collection. The colors are so fab and since I love the month of Feb, it was just too perfect. I bought a few more things from the collection that I need scrap with and I hope to dive into the rest of the collection soon.





Aniyah is growing up way too fast. She will be 7 this month and it's so hard to believe.

projects and photos

I've been a busy scrapper around here lately. I got into a groove and I ran with it which hasn't happened for me in a long time. I finally got my JB projects done. I think that I may have decided to finally let go of my SC subscription. I've been getting them for the past 6 months now and I'm thinking that I will cancel and just pick up the kits each month if I want one. The main reason why I've been able to scrap lately unfortunately is because Aniyah's been home from school sick since Monday. She ran a 103 temp and when I took her to the doc, she didn't have strep so they just sent us home with Tylenol as the prescribed medicine. Well, she still ran the temp so she went back to the doc today only to find out that she has pneumonia. S far I haven't been sick but it's given me time to scrap and do some Halloween decorations around the house. The first layout is not finished. I just got stuck! LOL! I need to add photos and journaling.

I have to admit right now that I was in total love when I got the project kit this month. It will have to be my most favorite project so far.  I did channel my inner Jenni Bowlin and Keisha Campbell on this. Total love.  I definitely wish I would have gotten some of the Pink Paislee Twilght halloween collection last year. I absolutely love it! More pics are at my 2peas gallery.

I did these layouts with the SC September kit. There is still more that can be created with the kit but I need to move on to all my Jenni Bowlin things. 

 

This layout still doesn't feel quite finished but I was stuck on it and decided to post anyway.  I need to add some journaling but I love the circles nonetheless. I used Inkadinkado swirl stamp and some bling on this layout along with MM Flutter flowers and Classically Defined Stickers.

The first layout is of my beautiful mother and I used my new Tattered Angels pumpkin mist over the maya road chipboards.

This layout is really about my hubby but I love this photo of me that my niece took.

This layout was done using the Studio Calico September kit. I used the Fresh Cut ad-on for this layout. This is one of my recent fav pics of Aniyah.
